MAPP ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your information when you use the MAPP mobile application (the "App").

a. Personal Information
Information you provide voluntarily:
- Name, email address, and profile photo.
- Login credentials (stored securely).
b. Location Data
MAPP collects precise location data while you record a ride. This data powers core features such as route mapping, ride statistics, and activity tracking. You can disable location access anytime in your device settings, but this may limit functionality.
c. Ride and Activity Data
Information such as distance, duration, speed, elevation, timestamps, and route (polyline) is stored to your account.
d. Device Data
We collect non-personal information such as:
- Device ID, operating system version, model.
- App performance and crash logs.
We do not collect or access phone calls, SMS, photos, or contacts.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your data to:
- Create and manage your account.
- Display ride logs, statistics, and route maps.
- Provide support and troubleshooting.
- Improve performance and app experience.
- Enable you to share rides publicly (if you choose).
- Communicate updates and new features.
We do not sell or rent your personal data to any third parties.
3. Ride Sharing and Public Links
If you share a ride, MAPP creates a unique, unlisted web link that anyone with the link can view. The page includes ride statistics and map data, but no personal identifiers unless you add them.
4. Legal and Safety Compliance
We may disclose information when required by law or when necessary to:
- Comply with legal obligations or law enforcement requests.
- Protect our rights or prevent fraud.
- Ensure the safety of users and the public.
We do not monitor or enforce compliance with driving laws; you remain solely responsible for the safe and lawful operation of your vehicle.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
Your account and ride data are stored securely and retained until you delete them. You can delete your data through the App or request full deletion by emailing us.
6. Security Measures
We use encryption, secure data centers, and access controls to protect your data. However, no system is completely secure; use of the App is at your own risk.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g., EU/EEA/UK/California), you may have the right to:
- Access, correct, or delete your personal data.
- Withdraw consent for data processing.
- Export your ride data (GPX or CSV).

8. Children’s Privacy
MAPP is not intended for children under 16. If we learn we have collected information from a child without consent, we will delete it immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated version.
